I likre what you wrote. We do have similar thoughts. The past is a very interesting topic, and it would be nice to talk more about it in class.

Hi Randa,
Well if you have a look at my post, I said the same thing. For something to be dead, you keep on recalling it. If it's not dead you don't recall it. But it's not even past is what I agree with. If it can happen again, for something to past it does not come back, then it's not past. This is hard to explain...but I hope it makes some sense.

I agree with your post and noticed that you mentioned you wouldn't intervene if someone you didnt know and probably wouldnt care about was being bullied. You also mentioned that you would probably join in the bullying if it was someone you didnt like. Well I think its very honest of you to say that because most people wouldnt admit they would do the same thing. But all of us know we probably would. I know I would most likely do the same.
I can also relate to the first part as well. (sorry Im talking about it all out of order). Most of us probably dont realize that peer pressure forces us to join something against our will.
Nice post- honest and simple.

I agree with you Randa. We do have the same idea about power. We should discuss it more often, I think it would be very interesting...

Hey! good to hear from you there

and I think there had been a little misunderstanding with my wordings, although I have lived most of my life in Ann Arbor, I currently attend to an International School in Korea... Yes and it is a coincidence to see a dude all the way in Qatar knowing about Ann Arbor =p

And lots of good insights going on your discussions as well

I never said I thought the poem was "soapboxing" I said it could be construed as such. I feel the poem is a very personal pleas for help from someone who is overwhelmed and angry by the state of the world.I am curious why you felt it was close minded.

Did you do anymore research on Monsanto; I suggest you do.

Poetry is all about emotional, so why would you want to hide that. As for rhyming? good luck, but it i hard work getting it write. Just write what you feel and see, let the words do the work.

I hope you DO feel like editing it, because I would love to see your best work.

You said, "tell me to write about it, and I won’t know what I’m doing." That is the point. That is what we are trying to change. I hope as you learn bout blogs more you will find your direction. But rememebr that blogs are not like Facebook or Myspace, they serve a different function.

As for HTML I will try to help you, but remember that once your Blog is up and running it is your key into a room with all kinds of people who can help you. You simply have to ask. Julia for example is a great resources. Ask her if she could write a basic post about HTML on her blog ot at least direct you in the right direction.
